About Skógafoss
Skógafoss is a majestic and powerful waterfall on the Skógá River in South Iceland, renowned for its classic rectangular shape. Dropping around 60 meters (200 ft) over a width of 25 meters (82 ft), it originates from cliffs that once marked the coastline. Due to the immense spray it produces, Skógafoss frequently displays single or double rainbows on sunny days. A prominent staircase alongside the falls allows visitors to climb to an observation deck at the top for panoramic views.
