Rhaeadr Ewynnol (Swallow Falls) is one of Wales’ most famous waterfalls, where the River Llugwy cascades through a rocky, wooded gorge near Betws-y-Coed. The waterfall consists of a series of powerful falls and rapids stretching through the forest, creating a spectacular display, especially after heavy rain.
Getting there
Drive to Swallow Falls (LL24 0DW), about 2 miles west of Betws-y-Coed on the A5. There is parking beside the falls entrance and opposite at the Swallow Falls Hotel. From the car park, it's only a 1–2 minute walk down a series of steps to the viewing platforms overlooking the waterfall.
