About Ceunant Mawr Waterfall
Ceunant Mawr Waterfall (Llanberis Falls) is a spectacular waterfall hidden in a steep wooded gorge above Llanberis in Eryri (Snowdonia). The Afon Arddu plunges more than 100 feet through a narrow ravine, creating one of North Wales’ most dramatic and photogenic waterfalls, despite being only a short walk from the village centre.
Getting there
Park in one of the pay-and-display car parks in Llanberis, such as the car park by the Snowdon Mountain Railway station. From there, walk towards the railway viaduct and follow the signs for Ceunant Mawr Waterfall. A short footpath leads under the viaduct and follows the river upstream through woodland to the waterfall viewing area. The walk is easy and takes around 10–15 minutes each way.
