Trevone Natural Sea Pool, also known locally as "Tinker Bunny's Bathing Pool," is a remarkable tidal pool nestled on the rugged North Cornwall coast, just a couple of miles from Padstow. This hidden gem offers a unique and sheltered swimming experience, making it a popular spot for families, wild swimmers, and those looking to explore marine life. The pool is naturally formed by the rocky shoreline and fills with fresh seawater at high tide, retaining it as the tide recedes to create a calm and clear bathing area. Its generous size, approximately 25m x 15m, includes a shallow paddling area perfect for children and deeper sections (up to 3m) for more serious swimmers, all while offering stunning views of the Atlantic. Getting there

For those planning a visit, checking tide times is essential as the pool is best enjoyed a few hours either side of low tide when it's fully exposed and replenished. While access is generally straightforward, the rocks around the pool can be slippery, so sturdy footwear is advisable. Trevone Bay itself is well-equipped for visitors, with public toilets, a beach shop, and a café located near the main car park (PL28 8QY), which is about a 5-minute walk from the pool along the coast path. Dogs are permitted on the adjacent Newtrain Bay year-round, and the pool area is also dog-friendly. Bear in mind that during peak summer months, the area can get quite busy, so early mornings or late evenings are recommended for a more tranquil experience
