A striking geological phenomenon hidden deep within the mountain forests of Vĩnh Sơn, closely resembling an abandoned giant stone fortress or ancient citadel built by human hands. Features a colossal natural stone wall running along the mountain slope for 500 to 600 meters, standing 30 to 40 meters high and formed by interlocking rectangular, hexagonal, and polygonal rock columns dating back 1.8 to 2 million years. Blends raw nature with a hauntingly artificial appearance, as moss-covered geometric stone blocks weave seamlessly among ancient forest trees without any human chisel marks. Steeped in deep cultural and historical significance, deriving its name from the Bahnar language and serving historically as a legendary stronghold in Bahnar Kriêm epics, a mountain base for the Tây Sơn rebel army, and a revolutionary base during wartime resistance.

Getting there

Accessible by traveling inland from central Quy Nhon toward the rugged mountainous terrain of Vĩnh Sơn, where local paths lead into the dense forest canopy. Requires a trek through forest trails from the nearest vehicle parking area, making sturdy trekking shoes and proper outdoor gear essential. Best visited during the dry season to ensure safer, more navigable trail conditions and avoid slippery rock surfaces around the stone fortress structure.
